Day Camp ... at The Stables at Eagle Mountain

We love camps!  We squeezed as many of them as possible into our 2008 schedule:

two full 5-day HorseSense Novice Camps for children (June 24-28 and July 8-12)
a weekend Mounted Games Camp (March 28-30)
four one-day Mother/Daughter Camps (May 10, May 11, Nov 1, Nov 2)
a five-day Eventing Camp (June 3 - 7)
our exclusive weekend Quadrille Camp (July 18-20)

Full 5-Day Camp:  $225*
First 4 days of camp, Tues - Fri,
are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.,
with an end-of-camp Fun Show for parents on Saturday
9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

HorseSense Day Camps
are open to children ages 7 - 16.
No previous experience with horses is necessary!  You may bring your own horse and English tack or ride one of our school horses.

Custom 1-Day Camps: $50* per camper
  We offer custom 1-day mini-camps throughout the year.  Bring your own group of 2-6 kids, or call to see if we have a group you can join.  Advanced notice is required, so call early to reserve camp dates.

Join us for an exciting week of eventing for kids: Dressage, Cross-Country, and Stadium Jumping

June 3 - 7, 2008

 

For kids aged 9 - 18  v Only $225* per camper!

For riders comfortable at a canter and able to trot a 18” stadium course with control in English tack (USPC D-2 and up)

No previous Eventing experience is necessary.

 

Camp runs Tue - Sat, 8:00 a.m.— 4:30 p.m., and includes: 

v Intro to Eventing rules and scoring

v Daily lessons in dressage, cross-country & jumping

v Unmounted HorseSense lessons:

· bandaging

· conformation

· show grooming & turnout

· conditioning

· and more!

v Horsey crafts and educational games

v Three-phase Horse Trial competition Fri evening and Saturday -- visitors are welcome to come cheer on our competitors!

July 18 - 20, 2008

 

Our unique three-day dressage camp for adults and children teaches riders to choreograph a routine for two (pas de deux) to four riders (quadrille).  Music, costumes, teamwork and dancing horses -- what could be more fun?

 Just $85 per camper!

 

 

v  For adults and children aged 7 - 107

v  Bring your horse or use our school horse

v  Riders must be able to trot with control in English tack

v  No formal dressage experience is necessary!

 

Camp runs Friday (4:30 p.m. --  8:30 p.m.) and Sat - Sun (8 a.m. --  4:30 p.m.) and includes: 

v Intro to quadrille and pas de deux choreography

v Instruction in selection of music,  planning and executing drill maneuvers, and showmanship

v Videotaped practices

v Costumes for riders and mounts

v Relaxed, informal atmosphere

 

v Pizza Party orientation Friday evening for campers and their families
