Horses For Sale or Lease
We like matching up our students with the right horse, and we LOVE finding good owners for horses we care about -- because ultimately our goal is to make horses happy!
We are also very, very picky. We don't keep horses here that have social issues or behavioral problems, and we don't sell or lease our horses to people who aren't ready for the big commitment.
We encourage inexperienced folks to consider leasing a horse before taking the plunge -- sort of a try-before-you-buy deal that gives you the benefit of having your own horse without the expense and commitment of full ownership. It allows you to find out for sure that you have the time, the desire, and the financial resources to keep a horse happy. Horses may be leased here at HorseSense on a full or part-time basis; most owners offer flexible arrangements to suitable riders. Read more about our horse lease program here.
While we're not primarily in the business of buying and selling horses, we do have the occasional horse available for sale or lease. If you're in the market for a horse, and don't see one here that fits your needs, let us know -- we always seem to know LOTS of reliable people with horses to sell.

BISCUIT
Palomino QH gelding, 13 years old, 15.2 hh
Half-lease/$100 per month
Biscuit already has one half-lease owner, but he's at a point in his training where we'd like him to get more work. After a long, slow recovery from a back injury, Biscuit has started learning dressage and jumping, which means he needs to step up his exercise program. He can be lazy when he doesn't feel like working -- but he's smart and he likes learning new things, and we've seen flashes of very pretty movement from him. He LOVES to jump, so it will be fun to see how far he can go.
Biscuit can be ridden by advanced beginners with strong legs and light hands. He's still green over fences, and should only be jumped in lessons. He's had extensive ground work -- including tricks -- and would love to have another playmate. Click here to read more about Biscuit.
If you'd like to help Biscuit reach his potential by riding and playing with him three days a week, call or email us for details.
